First Step Card

This is my first attempt at a step card. I used assorted card stock and the pattern paper was from Target dollar bin. The balloons are from Remember When Foto Reel Birthday. I punch the present from the pattern paper and put it on cardstock and then popped it up in a scallop punch. I used PK everyday face stamps on the balloons. The sentiment on the left is from inkadinkadoo clear stamps kid quotes. The sentiment on the bottom is from CLOUD9 Designs Simple Thoughts - Happy Birthday. I used lilac stickles around the one sentiment.

  2. Okay, I totally LOVE this card. I love PK faces and they look SO cute on those balloons. I've never actually made this style of card but I want to try one.

I wanted to reply to your comment on my embossing. I have used both Zing embossing powder and Stampendous, but my personal favorite of the two has been the Stampendous. I like to put the embossing powder on generously and then I tap the back of it to get the 'excess' off. I've been told that using a dryer sheet to rub your paper with first will help you from getting quite so many little extra pieces. Clear embossing is my favorite, it just seems to come out best for me and I love the way it looks. I hope some of this helps. Take care! Hugs- Glora
