Today is my husband's birthday. I just baked his cake and the house smells so good. I am making a layered vanilla cake with whipped cream and strawberries. His favorite. Our daughter, who is only 6, has been so excited and even has had a countdown until her Daddy's birthday! She did not want to wait until tonight to give him his many cards she made and presents. SHe gave them to him before he went to work. She is so sweet.

Here's my card

My Pal Stitch

Stitch was so funny when Emily went up to him for his autograph. There were no other children around at the time so he was playing around with her. It was so cute to watch. Emily wanted to scrap a page today so she picked out the pictures and all the paper and the lettering. I worked with her to assemble all the pieces. We  used Life's a Beach cartridge for the flower and the Aloha. The title paper is actually a pretty  deep purple color. I am still having trouble getting a good picture. We finished this tonight and I wanted to post the layout. I think I will try to take a picture outside tomorrow.

Wait a minute how did Justice get in here? lol. Emily is still sick and was laying in my bed, but our cat Justice decided to take a nap in Emily's bed. He looked so cute I decided to cover him and take a picture.

Coronado Springs Pool

When we were at Disney World in September 2009 we stayed at Coronado Springs Resort. It was beautiful. It was in the 90's so a few days we would leave the park and take a swim. My daughter and I even went at night when my husband wasn't feeling well. She thought that was awesome (her word.) The little things that excite small children. Here is a simple layout using Life is a Beach cartridge and Colorpak shore pack paper.

Daughter Sick :(

I haven't been crafting too much because my little girl has been sick this week. She started Monday in school with a tummy ache and a slight fever and I had to bring her home. She was fine Tuesday and Wed and then the fever came back Thursday. She did not go to school yesterday or today and fever is just rising. It is now 103.8.

Copics!

Hi everyone. Hope everyone is having fun crafting and getting ready for Spring! I hear so much about Copics, but don;t know too much about the pens. Would someone explain how they work. I see so many beautiful cards where Copics are used and it looks like someone painted the pictures. Thanks for any input.
