I made this from a download file that was given as blog candy. I printed the Christmas to do list and the tag on cardstock, painted a dollar store frame red and added a dry erase pen. I gave this as a gift along with the candle I showed you on a previous post to my Brownie co-leader. This was really simple and cute and I think I'll have to make one for myself.

Some things I made
I found this great idea on Joy's Life Blog http://joyslife.com. I have several Merry Christmas and trees on the glass in gold, put a white candle that was in a glass in the vase, filled with sand (the most expensive item in this craft), added glass beads and a gold ribbon. I gave this to my Brownie co-leader.

Treats for the Brownie Troop
Yesterday was the Brownie Troop's Halloween party. All the girls dressed in their costumes. They played games, dance, played musical island (like musical chairs but with towels. When the music stops the girls must have both feet on the towels. If anyone is partially off they are out and we remove a towel.) Made a few crafts and of course had some snacks. These are the snacks I made. I wish I had more time to make them look nicer (scarier) but I think they still turned out cute and the girls enjoyed them. The Frankensteins are marshmallows dipped in chocolate and the the other treats are cookies on a stick.
After I made them (I had them standing in a big bowl of sugar to dry) I didn't know how I was going to get them to the party or display them. Then I came up with they idea of putting Halloween paper on a postage box and then cut slits in the top to stick the pops. Worked out great.

Thank You Card
This is a thank you card I made for the Brownie Troop to sign and say thanks to one of the girl's Aunt who made a generous donation to the troop. Since our troop is new this year, we started with no funds. We meet every Thursday right after school, learn about Girl Scouts, make crafts and work toward earning patches.
I used cardstock from Jo Ann Fabrics, a leaf border punch from ek success ( I love their punches - they save so much space), ribbon from AC Moore. The face stamps are from Fiskars "Happy and You Know it Clear Stamps". I colored them with pencils and the Brownies signed their names.

Halloween Layout
Off to see the Wizard...........for the past two Halloweens my daughter was Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. Here is a two page layout. It is really very simple. I didn't want to take away from the paper. I bought it about two years ago and I finally got around to scrapping her Halloween pictures. I love the base paper, but also the gingham and red sparkle paper.

Anniversary card
Today is my wedding anniversary. Eleven years ago today my husband and I went on our first date - dinner and a movie (Almost Famous.) Eight years ago we were married outside under a gazebo along the Delaware River. Our reception was at the King George Inn. It was a day filled with bittersweet memories. I married my friend and soul mate. However, on that day I missed not having my Father walk me down the aisle or my Mother with me during the planning to share in the excitement and joy. The last 11 years with Mike have been my most happiest and we have a beautiful little girl for our daughter.
Here is a card I just made for my husband. I used tan cardstock, printed paper from My Mind's Eye, ribbon from AC Moore, flowers from Recollections Boutique Fleur. The sentiment I printed from the internet.

Halloween Card
I'm starting to get in the Halloween mood. I'm finding out that there are many families that really get into Halloween. I'll put some decorations in the windows and our daughter will go to costume parties and dress up and trick-or-treat, but that's about it for us. Maybe we will try to do more each year.
Here is a Halloween card I made over the weekend. I love the nerdy girl witch from Marlene at http://disguisedasagrownup.blogspot.com/ I love her digi stamps and her snarky personality. I colored the witch with my new set of Prismacolor colored pencils. I bought a set of 24 scholar colored pencils for $5.99 at Amazon last week. I bought a Prismacolor blender pencil from AC Moore and I don't think it worked that great with these pencils unless I used some mineral spirits. Does anyone have any suggestions.

First Step Card
This is my first attempt at a step card. I used assorted card stock and the pattern paper was from Target dollar bin. The balloons are from Remember When Foto Reel Birthday. I punch the present from the pattern paper and put it on cardstock and then popped it up in a scallop punch. I used PK everyday face stamps on the balloons. The sentiment on the left is from inkadinkadoo clear stamps kid quotes. The sentiment on the bottom is from CLOUD9 Designs Simple Thoughts - Happy Birthday. I used lilac stickles around the one sentiment.

Just a little note....
Just a little note to say I'm sorry I haven't posted anything for a little while. I haven't had a chance to do any crafting but can't wait until I can. With the new school year there is so much I am getting involved with right now. I became the book fair chairperson after the person who was the chairperson went back to work. She has been helping a lot whenever she can, but there is a lot to learn since this is my first book fair. Today we just did the set up in the school lobby. Tomorrow is the teacher preview and all next week will be the sale for the students and the parents.
I am also go to be a co-leader with my daughter's Brownie troop. I am very excited about this responsibility. Next Thursday night will be registration and then the following week we will be meeting every Thursday after school with the girls.
I am also taking two Bible studies this year. The women's study every Tuesday is called "I'm Not Good Enough" ... and Other Lies Women Tell Themselves by Sharon Jaynes. So far it is very interesting and I am blessed to learn so much from the author and the other women in the group. The Wednesday night family Bible study is based off "Extraordinary The Life You're Meant to Live" by John Bevere. I missed the first night last night since it was back to school night at our daughter's school.
Have a wonderful day and keep crafting.

2 Page Phillies Layout
I was born and raised in the city of Philadelphia and I love the Philadelphia Phillies. Growing up my favorite Phillies were Jay Johnstone (21), Bob Boone (8), and Tug McGraw (45). My favorite Phillies on this year's team is Cliff Lee. I began scrapbooking back then, but it was nothing like how we all scrapbook now. I would cut out pictures and articles from the newspapers and make pages. I have to find those books. It's been years since I looked at them. They are 31years old. Now I am dating myself. lol http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1980_World_Series
This is a two page layout of the first Phillies game we took our daughter Emily to watch. She was only five, but she had a lot of fun especially since her Aunt Kim spoiled her with a hat, shirt and Phillie Phanatic bank. You have to love the Phanatic!
